What are the dates of the Orange International Street FairSM?
The Street Fair is held on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. This year the Street Fair will be August 31st – September 2nd, 2012.
What are the operating hours of the Fair?
Friday, August 31st, 2012 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 1st, 2012 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 2nd, 2012 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
What does the Fair cost?
There is no entrance fee. However, Ethnic Streets, Arts and Crafts and Children’s Street set their own fees and rates for participating in the Fair.
Where is there parking at the Fair?
There are several public parking lots in the surrounding area. Chapman University also offers parking for the Fair. Additionally, residential street parking is permitted during the Fair. Depending on the time of day, Fair patrons should be prepared to walk several blocks to get to the Fair.
Is there handicap parking?
Yes, the public parking lot located on the west side of South Orange Street has several handicapped spaces.
Are pets allowed in the Fair?
There are no pets allowed in the Fair with the exception of seeing eye dogs or other animals trained to assist the handicap.
How do I purchase alcohol at the Fair?
You’ll need valid identification (such as a driver’s license) and purchase a wristband at one of the many Wristband Booths located throughout the Fair. EVERY INDIVIDUAL WHO IS DRINKING ALCOHOL MUST HAVE A WRISTBAND. Once you have a wristband you are permitted to purchase alcohol. Those serving alcohol have the right to refuse service. A new wristband must be purchased each day of the fair.
How do I get to the Street Fair?
The Street Fair is located in a four-square block area radiating out from the center of the Orange Plaza, which is the intersection of Chapman and Glassell.
Where is the Information Booth located?
The Information Booth is located in the south west corner of the plaza.
Are there activities for children?
Yes, there are many different activities for children.
Are the stores in the plaza open during the Fair?
You will have to check with the store you desire to visit. Some stay open and others have modified hours.
